Authorities arrest 1 in connection with violent attack on San Francisco free speech rally organizer

0

Authorities arrested a man in connection with an assault on a speaker at a San Francisco free speech rally that took place on Saturday.

A suspect punched the free speech rally organizer in the face, knocking out at least two of his teeth.

What are the details?

According to Newsweek, authorities arrested 35-year-old Adora Anderson of Watsonville, California, who is accused of “mayhem” and “hate crime enhancement” after reportedly punching 25-year-old Philip Anderson in the face.

Authorities say there is no relation between the men despite their shared last name.

Viral videos captured the moment that Philip was assaulted during the rally, which was referred to as a “Free Speech Rally Against Twitter and Big Tech.” The demonstration was held at the federal building at U.N. Plaza, near Twitter’s headquarters. The event was a protest against the company’s censorship of the New York Post’s article on emails purported to belong to Hunter Biden regarding foreign business dealings and his father, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

San Francisco police arrived on the scene on to respond to reports of an aggravated assault. Philip told authorities that he had been participating in the free speech rally when an unknown assailant punched him in the face.

A GoFundMe page to raise money to repair Philip’s teeth has received more than $30,035 in donations at the time of this reporting.

A
statement from the San Francisco Police Department read:

On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at approximately 12:20 PM, San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Leavenworth and McAllister Streets for a report of an aggravated assault. Officers met with a 25-year-old male victim who identified himself as the victim of the assault. The victim told officers he was participating in a free speech rally at UN Plaza when he was punched in the face by an unknown suspect. The assault caused the victim to lose two teeth. The SFPD Night Investigations Unit and Special Investigations Unit led the investigation.

Investigators developed information that led to the identity of the suspect in the assault. The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Adora Anderson of Watsonville. On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at approximately 2:53 PM, Adora Anderson was taken into custody by San Francisco Police officers in Oakland, CA. Adora Anderson was transported to San Francisco County Jail where he was booked on charges of mayhem (203 PC) and a hate crime enhancement (422.75(a) PC).

While an arrest has been made, this remains an open investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the SFPD 24 Hour Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin your text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.

What else?

Authorities shut down the Saturday rally after counterdemonstrators became violent.

As previously reported by The Blaze, the situation quickly spiraled out of control against those conservatives gathered for the demonstration, and police were forced to escort them away from the premises and to their vehicles.

Following the assault, Philip told the crowd, “Too bad it got canceled. That’s what happens when you lose free speech, this is what our country has turned into.”

He also shared a snap of his bloodied mouth on social media after leaving the hospital.

He captioned the photo, “Antifa attacked me for no reason.”

Philip later tweeted, “I have a question for you, Joe Biden. You said that Antifa is just an idea. This is what they did to me. I’m at the hospital right now … because of Antifa. Do you still think, after seeing this, that they’re just an idea?”

Horowitz: Putting our seniors in solitary confinement is costing, not saving, lives

0

This is the new normal. You must remain isolated from people for years to come until we are into the second generation of vaccines.

That is essentially the plan from our elites, who are pushing panic, fear, and social isolation until years into the discovery of a vaccine – if they ever stop at all. It is utterly insane to do this to younger and healthier people given how nebulous a threat the virus poses to them compared to the collateral damage of lockdown policies and social isolation. But what is often forgotten in the shuffle is that locking down seniors for this long – even allowing for the fact that the virus poses a greater risk to them – is not an option either. It is a death sentence.

COVID-19 poses the greatest threat to those in the final months and years of their lives, often the same people who are experiencing declining mental health in addition to physical ailments. Insisting that they remain away from their families and pursuit of happiness under all circumstances indefinitely for the next number of years, however, is tantamount to putting them in the grave early. The fatality rate of COVID-19 could be statistically high to people in this cohort, but complete lockdowns leading to atrophy will cause a 100% death rate and ensure that the life they lived in their remaining months and years was not much of a life.

Last week, Dr. Laurie Archbald-Pannone, an associate professor of medicine at the University of Virginia, observed that during the summer of 2020, the number of dementia-related deaths was 20% higher than last year. A similar phenomenon has already been observed in the U.K. That there are 20% excess deaths among those recorded as having died of dementia is astounding given that we already know COVID-19 deaths are liberally coded. We know that anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in a nursing home and subsequently died of Alzheimer’s was still recorded as a COVID death. I know many friends, relatives, and podcast listeners who had parents enduring the days of Alzheimer’s, and they received a death certificate, much to their shock, listing coronavirus as the cause of death.

Hence, this 20% excess is over and beyond those who died of COVID-19 or even with the virus.

Robert Anderson, chief of mortality statistics at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in an interview with Politico that this finding is “highly unusual.” “There’s something wrong, there’s something going on and it needs to be sorted out,” he said when this data was first observed by the CDC in September.

Well, we don’t need Sherlock Holmes to investigate what is going on with our seniors. As Dr. Archbald-Pannone observes, “Social isolation, which essentially is little or no contact with others, is the last thing seniors with dementia need. But it’s what many have received, as caregivers are forced to limit visits during the pandemic.” It stands to reason that someone who is already suffering cognitive decline who faces today’s depressing and lonely world foisted upon us by the elites is going to decline rapidly. It’s likely this has already happened.

It’s one thing to be more careful with seniors; it’s quite another for long-term care facilities to shut out all family members indefinitely or even for seniors still living in their own homes to be completely abandoned by their children because they are convinced they can’t get anywhere near them. This is unacceptable, and any virus mitigation efforts even for seniors requires more precision and nuance that is based in observed science as to who they can see and under what circumstances.

For example, in Switzerland, it was understood already in April that the ability of grandparents to hug their grandchildren could be a matter of life and death. Switzerland confidently proclaimed that kids under 10 do not spread in any meaningful way and advised grandparents to hug their grandchildren.

My son, while he was struggling with the closure of school last year, developed a great relationship with his grandparents by spending time keeping them company. They also held our new baby girl since her birth in April. I know many others who refused to do this. They are undoubtedly well-intentioned, but are they considering the emotional cost and are they following the science?

Now that we see that children barely spread the virus, it’s quite obvious that babies most certainly do not. Babies rarely test positive even for asymptomatic cases. One study of 101 babies born to mothers with COVID-19 in a New York hospital during the peak of the pandemic in March found that just two had positive test results, “but none had clinical evidence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), despite most infants rooming-in with mothers and direct breastfeeding.”

It’s one thing to suggest that we err on the side of caution for a few weeks, but to do this indefinitely is erring on the side of death and decline. Even for those in nursing homes, who are certainly at high risk to get seriously ill from coronavirus, a categorical ban on relatives is not an option. There are so many people who have gone without seeing their own spouses, much less children and grandchildren, during the final months of their lives. With mass testing available, there is no reason a strict testing regime can’t carefully allow a limited number of family members to visit under the right circumstances and environments. Solitary confinement is unacceptable. There’s a reason even hardened prisoners fear this form of punishment.

Steve McLaughlin, county executive of Rensselaer County, New York, spoke on my podcast last week about his rally in the state capital to call on Governor Andrew Cuomo to open nursing homes to visitors. “You literally have people locked up inside nursing homes that are being denied the human compassion and human touch of their own families,” bemoaned the independent-minded county executive who represents the cities east of the state capital. “Even though those families can test negative for COVID, they are still not being allowed in.”

He pointed out how Cuomo is the same person who asked him and other county executives in March to place COVID-positive patients in nursing homes. Now he is overcorrecting the other way and killing people with imperious lockdown policies. McLaughlin said he defied Cuomo’s “evil” directive in March and, as a result, didn’t lose a single individual in his county-run nursing home. Likewise, he opened up outside family visitation under certain circumstances even before testing was widely available, despite Cuomo’s order. “Why are we pushing these people closer and closer to death by denying them their family?” said McLaughlin. It’s unconscionable.”

Aside from not allowing carefully planned visits, there is a more fundamental and counterproductive flaw in the lockdown strategy. By keeping younger people socially isolated to some degree, policies are ensuring that seniors remain caught between the dangers of the virus and atrophy for longer than necessary. We are now seeing tens of thousands of cases among college students, with very few hospitalizations and no deaths. Imagine if the colleges had never closed. We’d be closer to Sweden in terms of achieving partial herd immunity and making it safer for seniors in a shorter period of time.

Yet thanks to these policies, seniors are now facing the double-edged sword of an agonizingly drawn-out viral spread and a reaction to it that is even more deadly.

Debate Commission Finds Way to Mute Trump’s Mic in Upcoming Presidential Standoff

0

As Americans prepare for the upcoming presidential debate to be held in Nashville, TN on Thursday, the candidates are now preparing to take on the national issues in a new way.

Contrary to the well-established history of allowing candidates to duke it out on the platform for all to see, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Monday that they would be muting mics of one candidate while the other was answering a question.

This move comes after what many considered to be blatant bias on the part of the last debate’s moderator, Fox News’ Chris Wallace, who appeared to debate the president for Democrat candidate Joe Biden.

CNN reported on the upcoming muted debate saying that at the start of the six debate segments, each candidate will be given two minutes to answer the question posed to him. During that time the other candidate’s microphone will be muted.

Questions from conservatives have been raised, frustrated with what they considered to be another way of propping up a feeble and possibly mentally declining Democrat candidate who “can’t stand the heat” as it were.

However, liberals seem delighted with the announcement, as was evidenced by a source close to the debate commission telling CNN that the decision was “not a change to rules but rather a move to promote adherence to rules that have been agreed to by both campaigns.”

“A change to the rules would have required protracted and ultimately, in our view, unworkable negotiations between the two campaigns,” the source said.

Trump’s campaign spoke out against any changes to the rules in a statement cited by CNN saying that the commission “shouldn’t be moving the goalposts and changing the rules in the middle of the game.”

Biden, however, (or at least his campaign) is thoroughly on board with the upcoming format change, saying they believed the way Trump conducted himself at the first debate was a “national embarrassment.”

“I just hope there’s a way in which the debate commission can control the ability of us to answer the questions without interruptions,” Biden said the day after the first debate.

The commission released a statement justifying their actions on Monday, saying that, “We realize, after discussions with both campaigns, that neither campaign may be totally satisfied with the measures announced today,” the statement read.

“One may think they go too far, and one may think they do not go far enough. We are comfortable that these actions strike the right balance and that they are in the interest of the American people, for whom these debates are held.”

The statement went on to say that: “The Commission is announcing today that in order to enforce this agreed upon rule, the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these two-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor under the rules. For the balance of each segment, which by design is intended to be dedicated to open discussion, both candidates’ microphones will be open.”

Both microphones will reportedly be unmuted after each candidate delivers their two-minute answer.

“During the times dedicated for open discussion, it is the hope of the Commission that the candidates will be respectful of each other’s time, which will advance civil discourse for the benefit of the viewing public,” the statement read. “As in the past, the moderator will apportion roughly equal amounts of time between the two speakers over the course of the 90 minutes. Time taken up during any interruptions will be returned to the other candidate.”

In a letter to the commission Monday, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien reminded Americans of why this change could be bad for voters:

“It is completely unacceptable for anyone to wield such power, and a decision to proceed with that change amounts to turning further editorial control of the debate over to the Commission which has already demonstrated its partiality to Biden.”

Mark Levin: Undercover sting reveals leftist’s alleged plan to kill ‘random billionaires’ and ‘win’ at ANY cost

0

On “LevinTV”, Mark Levin reacted to the latest Project Veritas undercover video exposing Kristopher Jacks, a prominent Democratic operative in Colorado, saying he’ll do “everything morally acceptable to win,” including lying, cheating, and stealing. Jacks also suggested killing “random billionaires,” including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, for political ends.

“I am going to do everything morally acceptable to win. I will lie. I will cheat. I will steal. Because that’s morally acceptable in this political environment,” said Jacks, who according to Project Veritas is the chairman of Our Revolution in Weld County, a partner of the Democratic Party coalition.

“If you want to do some Antifa s**t. You really want to change this country that way, with violence, there’s only one way to do it. You gotta get people that are close to billionaires and start just, random billionaires start turning up dead,” Jacks added. “Doesn’t matter who … I mean Bezos at the top of the list.”

Levin argued Jacks’ willingness to lie, cheat, and steal would more than likely extend to ballot-stuffing or other means of corrupting the vote and that Jacks is probably not alone in this mindset.

“I don’t believe he’s alone. I believe there’s thousands just like him,” Levin said. “You can now see what’s happening in the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party is the vessel through which these anti-American, ruthless, and violent individuals are operating.”

A California teacher is being hailed a hero after she called 911 in response to a home invasion that took place during a remote class on Thursday.

What are the details?

According to
Newsweek, teacher Jennifer Peterson was waiting for all of her students to log off their remote learning segment when she noticed that two of her teenage students were crying out for help.

The outlet reported that Peterson watched her students’ faces go from “concern to panic” as they began screaming for help. As it turned out, a suspect broke into the home through a window.

“They kept saying ‘Help us, help us’ and calling out to me,” she recalled.

The California teacher jumped into action and called 911 and remained online with her students until authorities arrived on the scene.

The children’s mother, Reyna Luna, who was not at home when the incident took place, according to the International Business Times, said that she saw police surrounding the neighborhood when she returned.

She livestreamed the incident on Facebook, saying that her children were terrified.

She captioned the stream, “Guy broke in to the house then went out the back door and jumped over to the neighbors [sic] house saying he was being chased by guys with rifles. Then he went to the neighbors [sic] house in to her garage and hid under their car. So scary.”

According to WXIX-TV, Luna said, “My kids are like completely terrified right now. They said that a guy opened the window and went inside the house.”

Burglary in progress

GOP Senate Nominee James Trapped In Smear Campaign

0

The fake news platforms are looking to smear any Republican they can this year. The latest target has been U.S Senate candidate John James. He was the Republican candidate for the 2018 United States Senate election but lost to Democratic nominee Debbie Stabenow.

James is back at it again taking on Michigan’s Democratic Sen. Gary Peters, which has tightened the polls into an incredibly competitive race this year. While James has a fundraising advantage, Peters has the media. Over the last few days, a highly misleading clip from a recent interview has been used as a smear campaign against James.

“WATCH: John James completely fumbles on @Local4News when pressed on how he’d protect Michiganders with pre-existing conditions. (Hint: it’s because he has absolutely no plan to do so) #MISen It is a 46-second clip in which James is asked about healthcare protections for people with pre-existing conditions,” Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Elena Kuhn tweeted.

It was a 46-second clip of James answering a question from a local reporter. He was beginning to answer the question when the video cuts off. The video went viral after CNN White House correspondent John Harwood retweeted it with the caption “revealing.” Is there ever misinformation about Republicans that Harwood doesn’t amplify?

The tweet went viral after more and more people requested for the longer clip of James’ response and not the deceptively edited version. “Hey Elena, maybe you should allow for more than 3 words of his answer… Your video edit is dishonest, to say the least… If you didn’t deceptively edit the clip, folks would see James go on to literally outline a plan,” tweeted National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesperson Nathan Brand.

The tweet included a link to a video of John James explaining why we should make the Affordable Care act affordable. He talks about expanding risk pools, allowing biz association plans, and reforming the regulatory hurdles that raise costs.

Others were also blasted by the NRSC for spreading misinformation in the form of a clearly edited video. Shouldn’t this fit Twitter’s labeling of manipulated media? But hey, the left can’t argue on policy and fact, so they just lie over and over again. If they ever get caught, they just move on to the next piece of news and pretend that the previous one never existed.

It’s a vicious fake news cycle for fellow Republicans and it’ll get worse over the next two weeks as we move closer to Election Day. They’ll be pulling out every trick in the book to push their political agenda for a Biden-Harris win. Or should I say a Harris-Biden win?

Kirstie Alley defends voting for President Trump despite backlash

0

Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley went on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show Monday to stand firm on her decision to vote for President Donald Trump, despite the torrent of backlash she received from announcing her decision over the weekend.

What are the details?

On Saturday, Alley tweeted, “I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

Hannity called her on his show to hear more about her reasoning, and began by pointing out some of the abuse the actress received for bucking the Hollywood trend of voting for Democrats.

“First of all, you’re brave to come on this show. I give you a lot of credit,” Hannity told Alley, before listing off messages where people told her she “should rot in hell,” and that she doesn’t “have a brain.” He noted that her “deeply held and personal religious beliefs” were also attacked.

“You know, they always attack the same three things,” Alley told the host. “That I’m a fat, irrelevant scientologist.” But, she noted, “this has been going on for 40 years.”

In defending her vote for Trump, Alley explained that in America’s past, politicians left their respective professions — such as Trump, who had not been a politician before running for the presidency — to serve the country and then returned to their trades in the private sector.

Regarding Democratic nominee Joe Biden, Alley hit out against his statements on race, noting, “What did he say, ‘you ain’t black if you’re not voting for me?’ and then these constant gaffes of these actual racist overtones, and I’m like ‘no, maybe you get one where you accidently said something inappropriate, but it’s pretty constant.”

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman caught in hot mic moment ridiculing the military flyover before NFL game

0

NFL announcers were caught ridiculing a military flyover before a game Sunday and they are facing the angry backlash online.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and longtime announcer Joe Buck were awaiting for the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers when they made the comments.

“That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover,” Aikman said.

“That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work!” joked Buck.

“That stuff ain’t happening with Kamala-Biden ticket. I’ll tell you that right now, partner,” Aikman responded.

The interaction was published by Defector media, which claimed that they were tipped off about the interaction.

Many on social media were outraged about comments and they excoriated the pair for what they considered to be an insult to the military.

“Both Of You Are A Disgrace. #Pathetic,” responded Code of Vets, a charity for military veterans.

“Hey @TroyAikman You didn’t have a problem with military flyovers over your 27th Superbowl game! You had a big smile on your face! So now you think it is a waste and a joke? You are a weak spineless sell out to the nation! What a disgrace!” they added in a second tweet.

“Could the @NFL and Democrats be MORE unlikable and unAmerican?” tweeted Jenna Ellis, a lawyer of the Trump campaign.

“Thank you Joe Buck and Troy Aikman for showing us the way to a better future. If only we stop the jet fuel. You know what else is a waste of jet fuel? Joe Biden flying somewhere to talk to 7 people,” tweeted commentator Carmine Sabia.

Others welcomed the comments as a signal that the pair were supportive of the Democratic presidential ticket just ahead of Election Day.

The controversial comments are likely to worsen the NFL’s public relations nightmare over players kneeling during the national anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement. This season, the NFL decided to embrace politics and allow players to express their support for left-wing political causes on the field.
